Agnikul Cosmos

Agnikul Cosmos designs and builds small orbital launch vehicles around single-piece 3D-printed semi-cryogenic rocket engines. Founded in 2017 out of IIT Madras in Chennai, the company developed the Agnibaan launch vehicle to carry small satellites to low Earth orbit, and operates India's first private launchpad at Sriharikota. In May 2024 its Agnibaan SOrTeD test flight became the first anywhere to fly a single-piece 3D-printed engine. In 2026 Agnikul announced Mission-02, aimed at recovering and reusing its booster, with the company valued at over $500 million.
